Dr Helen Meadows is an anatomist, forensic anthropologist & Forrest Yoga Teacher.
With a BSc in Biochemistry, an MSC & PhD in Anatomy and Forensic Human Identification Helen has researched, taught and practiced in the field of Life Science & Forensic Anatomy at the University of Dundee for over 12 years.
This anatomical expertise is complementary adjunct to her yoga teaching and her classes have a strong anatomical focus, encouraging spacious, intuitive and therapeutic movement to increase physical and mental acuity. Helen is a certified Forrest Yoga teacher (200hr Yoga Alliance registered) having completed both the foundation and advanced training programmes.
Helen offers Workshops and CPD modules in anatomy for yoga teachers as well as a Yoga Alliance anatomy module as part of the Heart Space Yoga & Bodyworks Teacher Training. This truly unique module offers trainees the opportunity to learn with qualified anatomy experts in a professional dissection room setting at the Dundee University. In collaboration with the UK’s leading Thiel facility Helen offers a novel and revolutionary experience of working with human cadavers to improve knowledge and understanding of the living, moving human body.
Helen teaches weekly classes, private sessions and workshops in Perthshire and Dundee.
